My birthday usually falls around Labor day. For the past three-four years it has been super busy with two, sometimes three, weddings in one weekend. So I get to celebrate, while doing what I love, while EATING CAKE. Just sayin’.  Angela and Matt’s cake not only looked gorgeous, it was delicious!

We showed up at Brookwood Inn and were greeted with this amazing sight of the big train on a beautiful wedding dress.

Again, the DRESS!!!! Wow. Angela, you looked simply stunning in it.

We had a few minutes to spare so we staged an impromptu session on the stairs to show off the long train, and then one more with all the bridesmaids.

St. Mary’s in Canandaigua has always been one of my favorites to photograph wedding ceremonies in.

During the vows, I knew I’d need to stand off to the side. ( PSA: always hire an experienced professional )

The newlyweds rented the Sonnenberg Gardens for their bridal party shoot. Thank you thank you thank you, what a great experience and a feast for the eyes and nose!

We had a teensy bit of time left before the reception was set to start, so we walked around the Casa Larga building into the vineyards and got a few more pictures among the grapes.

Angela fell in love with these stairs at the Casa Larga tasting room after seeing Kelly and David’s wedding pictures I had blogged. I was happy to oblige her with a similar shot.

This little man celebrated his own special day – a birthday!

Adding to the sugar high (birthday present to self), I got a scoop of ice cream with sprinkles and hot fudge. YUM! One of my 2012 brides talked about getting an ice cream bar for her reception – I say, DO IT.

BONUS! Ha, you thought it was going to be another ring shot. Nope, not this time! Angela came by a few weeks after the wedding to pick up her image disc, and she brought her best friend along. Poor baby was too shy to play with my puppy Myla, but he posed for a few pictures from the safety of the newly minted Mrs. Moore’s legs. What a cutie pie face! I love how his doggie tag looks like a bow tie. Because, you know, bow ties are COOL.

Prepare to be overwhelmed! This is the biggest, most photo-filled blog entry I’ve done since the Spain wedding post! I had so much fun at Kelly and David’s wedding last summer – they were absolutely the most fun-loving, harley-riding, dancing, laughing, eclectic couple I’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph.  Yes I realize it’s now winter and five months have passed since their awesome celebration, but who doesn’t love pictures from a warm summer wedding at any time of the year?

I started the day by photographing the bride getting ready.  Here she is getting laced into her dress.

In the mean time, my fabulous assistant Michael Hanlon was hovering around the guys at Casa Larga while they were getting ready. He caught David helping with his dad’s tie as mom and dad watched.

The ceremony was cute, funny, and emotional.

For the second time this year I get to photograph police officers! Both Kelly and David are Moroe County Sheriffs!

Kelly had pink handcuffs and wasn’t afraid to use them!

Thanks to Google Images, this photograph was discovered by the Hampton Roads Bride magazine shortly after I posted the teaser in September, and I got PUBLISHED in January. I’ll show it in my next blog entry.

I can’t WAIT to edit this amazingly fun wedding I photographed yesterday! There were tears, laughter, dancing, police cars, motorcycles, heat exhaustion, and cupcakes. A fun-tastic day, thanks to Kelly and Dave, the amazing team at Casa Larga, and my awesome assistant Michael.  For everyone who attended – images will be posted online before I leave for Spain, so check back around September 7th!

My 2009 wedding season kicked off with an amazing celebration! I had the honor of photographing Kim and Mark’s wedding (you may remember their engagement session) on their 10th anniversary.  Luckily for them, their anniversary date conveniently fell on a Friday. It was a day full of laughter and good times with friends and family, some of whom traveled half way across the world for this occasion.

What an awesome wedding to start my season! Thanks guys for being so great. I’ll have the proof gallery and the rest of the images for you in about a week.

Emily is the event coordinator at Shadow Lake Golf Club, which means she has access to the best event and wedding vendors out there. I was honored when she picked me to photograph her and Ryan’s July 4th wedding. How could I say no? Especially because the wedding promised to be a spectacular affair, complete with ice cream stations. Ok ok, I didn’t know the last part when Emily booked me, but I’m all up for ice cream at a wedding!

What a beautiful church to have a wedding ceremony in! (St. Mary’s in Canandaigua)

The next picture was my biggest group picture to date. Emily and Ryan invited ALL the guests to pose on the church steps for a few minutes, and everyone listened to my directions so well! I could see everyone’s faces in the crowd, which is awesome in itself, considering the amount of people and the lack of time. Later I made this shot into the cover of Thank You cards that got sent out to every guest in attendance. What a thoughtful way to thank your wedding guests!

The reception took place in Casa Larga Vinyards, where Emily used to work before Shadow Lake.

Even though we didn’t get to see fireworks (they were too far away), we all had a blast anyway! Thanks Emily and Ryan for inviting me to your fabulous wedding, and I am so glad to be friends!
