Jen was the first bride last year to book me for the 2008 season. I had just started advertising with the Rochester Wedding magazine three days prior, and she found me through my online ad there. I had been ecstatic to shoot her wedding ever since. And it finally happened!
Jen and the girls got ready at Woodcliff. She had the two-story suite with huge windows, which was perfect for natural light pictures.

After the ceremony, the bridal party stopped at their friends’ house which is actually more of a plant farm. It was absolutely gorgeous in there with the flowers and the trellis and the beautiful foot bridge over a creek.

We also went to the Monroe County Clerk’s Office for some more bridal party shots. I always enjoy the challenge of shooting in that golden marble building. We also took some photos across the street while waiting for our time slot to be available.

Finally we arrived back at Woodcliff for the reception. I kept a lookout for sunset so we could get some nice photos of the Rochester skyline, but the clouds weren’t cooperating. We snuck out before dinner anyway, and got some sweet portraits of just the happy newlyweds.

Thank you Jen and Bill for letting me participate in your celebration, and thanks for booking me when my online ad was nothing but a few words and no pictures! You were a delight to work with, and I can’t wait until we trash your dress next spring!
